I’ll try to get Vimeo embedded. I can’t guarantee anything but I’ll try.

Can I also ask what are you using in addition to PhoneGap? jQuery Mobile, Sencha Touch, jQTouch?

It actually worked when I took out the else statement at the end. Still had a couple of warnings though.

That’s a good point that I haven’t thought through yet. I was just excited to get vimeo playing in App. How would you go about doing it if you don’t use webview. I’ve read a lot on this and it seems like that’s the only way apart from opening Safari. Would I be able to overlay some sort of controller that could close webview?

So you want the Vimeo player to open within the app.

Are you opening the player in a container or just on its own? I ask because if you open anything within UIWebView without creating navigation, you cannot get back. For example, I create a jQuery Mobile framework and tell it to open http://www.google.com. It opens the site within UIWebView and now I have no way to get back to my app, I have to force quit and restart my app. Not a good solution.

I’m curious about the error from the view controller. That’s separate from the application delegate from my understanding.

Do you have a Git repo that I could take a look at?

Phonegap novice here…I’m trying to make this happen using the code that you posted (ios/phonegap/xcode). I just replace my entire “webview” section of the appdelegates.m. But it doesn’t seem to be working. It’s giving me the following errors:

1. file://localhost/Users/natehamilton/Desktop/LCBCChurch/LCBCChurch/Classes/AppDelegate.m: error: Automatic Reference Counting Issue: Receiver type ‘PhoneGapViewController’ for instance message does not declare a method with selector ‘webView:shouldStartLoadWithRequest:navigationType:’

As well as the following warnings:

Also, isn’t “webview” the same as whitelisting a link and the childbrowser popping up?
